Do you want to help create Sweden's best learning platform? EdTech is an exciting and growing field within software development. In this area, JENSEN education drives development with our own developed learning platform Campus.

We are now looking for an engaged developer to help create Sweden's best learning platform. We are looking for someone who is creative and wants to contribute to a meaningful purpose where thousands of students are given a better chance to succeed in their studies and teachers' work is facilitated.

We want to expand our IT development department with a new developer. The JENSEN IT development team is responsible for JENSEN's internal data systems as well as our own educational software Campus. Our data systems provide the entire operation with 26,000 users with the tools they need.

You will develop new code in our tech stack, which consists of: C#, .NET, Angular, NodeJS, and React-Native. We are about to start a project where we build a completely new internal SaaS service from scratch, in which you will be most involved. Bug fixes in older legacy systems may also occur. We use SCRUM with a dedicated product owner.

In this role, you will:

  • Help build a completely new SaaS service from the ground up.
  • Develop backend code in C#/.NET according to specifications.
  • Work with PostgreSQL databases.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and UX/UI designers in agile workflows.
  • Conduct code reviews of other developers' code.
  • Be part of something bigger – your code affects 26,000 daily users.

If you have knowledge of other platforms (languages), it may also include:

  • Develop frontend in Angular/NodeJS based on Figma mockups.
  • Develop frontend and/or backend for our mobile app in React-Native.
  • Possibly, on a small scale, improve business-critical functions in legacy systems.

We believe you have:

  • At least five years of experience in software development with C#, .NET, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience in product development in agile teams.
  • A curious, responsible attitude and enjoy sharing your knowledge.

It is a plus if you have:

  • Domain knowledge or experience in EdTech.
  • Knowledge of Typescript, Angular, NodeJS, or React-Native.
  • A degree in a relevant subject.

What we offer you

With us, you get more than just a job. You become part of a culture characterized by commitment, community, and a strong desire to make a difference – both for our 26,000 users and for our business. We offer you:

  • Professional development: Great opportunities to deepen your technical skills and grow in your role through complex projects and new development.
  • Security & Growth: A secure employment in a well-established and expanding company that dares to invest in its own innovation and modern technology.
  • Unique work environment: A pleasant workplace in the heart of Gamla Stan where we sit in historic premises close to both colleagues and the inspiring environments of the district.
  • Real influence: A non-prestigious work environment where we value collaboration and personal responsibility, and where your ideas and technical contributions are highly valued in decision-making.
